Frequently Asked Questions

How do the presentations work?
Michael and/or Christie will come to your location and present the program. We speak briefly about reptiles in general, then introduce up to 12 reptiles one-at-a-time, discussing traits, natural history and adaptations of each. We discuss conservation and reptiles' role in the environment.

Do I get to touch the animals?
Small groups (40 or fewer) will have the opportunity to touch/handle several reptiles. We encourage smaller groups to maximize students' hands-on time.

Do you bring in any venomous reptiles?
No, we don't use any venomous reptiles in our presentations. We may offer venomous reptile presentations in the future through a different presenter. Please ask us if you're interested.

What kinds of reptiles do you include in your presentations?
We have a variety of king snakes, milk snakes, corn snakes, pythons, boas, gopher snakes, hognose snakes, geckos and sulcata tortoise. And we're always adding more interesting animals

Do your snakes bite?
While it's possible that any animal may bite, we only use very tame, well adjusted animals in our presentations. And, of these, we only select the absolute gentlest animals for hands-on contact.

Have you ever been bitten? Does it hurt?
This seems to be a favorite question. Yes. I've been bitten many times and, except for larger snakes, it doesn't hurt. In fact, I can't think of any bite I've received that hurt worse than a paper cut.

What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept cash, check, and Paypal.

Do you have references available?
Yes, contact us for a current list.

Do you offer discounts or special rates?
In addition to our discounts for scheduling multiple shows on the same day, we occasionally offer special rates and other deals. Sign up here for updates and "Like" us on Facebook for info on special deals.
